Guiding Principles of Transparency, Integrity, and Scholarly Rigor

The Annals of Advances in Chemistry (AAC) upholds strict editorial policies to ensure the ethical and scientific quality of all published content. These policies are rooted in international standards, including those of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the Open Access Scholarly Publishers Association (OASPA), and the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ).

Editorial Independence

Editors operate independently and are free from commercial, institutional, or political influence. All editorial decisions are based solely on the scientific merit and relevance of the submitted work.

Conflicts of Interest

Editors and reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest. If any conflict is identified, the assignment is reassigned to ensure unbiased evaluation.

Peer Review Integrity

AAC follows a rigorous single-blind peer review process. All manuscripts are reviewed by at least two independent experts. Editors ensure reviews are constructive, confidential, and free of bias. Authors are informed of decisions within 8–12 weeks on average.

Editorial Accountability

Editors are accountable for the content they publish. They are responsible for investigating allegations of misconduct, coordinating corrections or retractions when necessary, and maintaining publication integrity at all times.

Handling Misconduct

Allegations of plagiarism, falsification, or ethical misconduct are thoroughly investigated. If verified, appropriate action is taken, including withdrawal of articles, notification of institutions, or author bans as per COPE guidelines.

Corrections & Retractions

AAC publishes corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions as needed to maintain an accurate and transparent scholarly record. Each case is handled with full documentation and in consultation with relevant parties.

Editorial Roles & Responsibilities

Editors ensure the quality, relevance, and fairness of published content. They guide authors, reviewers, and readers, and uphold the journal’s mission to foster credible chemical research globally.
