Ethical Standards for Authors
Upholding Integrity and Responsibility in Scholarly Publishing
General Principles
Annals of Advances in Chemistry (AAC) is committed to ethical publishing practices in alignment with COPE, DOAJ, and international standards. Authors are expected to adhere to high standards of research integrity, transparency, and academic honesty.
Authorship and Contributions
- All listed authors must have made significant contributions to the research and manuscript preparation.
- All co-authors must review and approve the final version before submission.
- Ghostwriting, honorary authorship, or unauthorized authorship is strictly prohibited.
Originality and Plagiarism
Authors must ensure their work is entirely original and appropriately cite any sources. Submissions are screened using plagiarism detection tools. Plagiarism in any form—verbatim copying, self-plagiarism, or paraphrasing without attribution—will result in rejection or retraction.
Data Accuracy and Reproducibility
Authors must present data truthfully and without fabrication or manipulation. Experimental methods must be described with sufficient detail to enable reproducibility by others. Fraudulent or deceptive data reporting constitutes a breach of scientific ethics.
Conflict of Interest Disclosure
Authors are required to disclose any financial or personal relationships that could influence the submitted work. This includes grants, employment, consultancies, stock ownership, or patent licenses. All disclosures must be clearly stated in the manuscript.
Human and Animal Subjects
Studies involving human participants or animals must include ethics approval from a recognized review board. Authors must affirm informed consent for human participants and humane treatment for animal subjects.
Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Submission
Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently is unethical. Authors must not republish the same research in multiple places unless clearly justified and appropriately cited.
Reporting Misconduct
Suspected breaches of ethical standards may be reported to the editorial team at [email protected]. AAC investigates all cases transparently and takes appropriate corrective action including rejection, retraction, or notification of institutional authorities.
