Ethics for Editors
Objective Standards and Ethical Conduct Expected from AAC Editors
All editors of Annals of Advances in Chemistry (AAC) must adhere to internationally recognized ethical standards and editorial responsibilities in line with COPE, OASPA, and DOAJ guidelines.

1. Impartiality
- Decisions based solely on merit
- No bias toward gender, ethnicity, or affiliation
- Equal treatment of all submissions

2. Confidentiality
- Manuscripts are confidential
- Information must not be shared externally
- Review anonymity must be preserved

3. Ethical Oversight
- Identify and handle misconduct promptly
- Enforce COPE guidelines
- Escalate serious ethical violations

4. Conflicts of Interest
- Editors must recuse themselves when a conflict exists
- Must disclose financial or professional ties
- No favoritism toward known collaborators

5. Transparency
- Ensure unbiased and open peer review
- Decisions should be documented and justified
- Maintain open communication with authors and reviewers

6. Responsiveness
- Respond to ethical concerns within 7 working days
- Support timely decisions and reviews
- Escalate unresolved cases to Editor-in-Chief
