Annals of Advances in Chemistry (AAC) uses a single-blind peer review system. Reviewer identities remain confidential, while author identities are visible to reviewers. Our editorial process is COPE-compliant and guided by fairness, accuracy, and academic rigor.

Submission

Authors submit manuscripts through our online portal. A preliminary check ensures adherence to formatting, ethics, and scope.

Editorial Screening

2. Editorial Screening

The Editor-in-Chief or Associate Editor reviews for technical completeness and assigns the manuscript to subject editors.

Reviewer Assignment

3. Reviewer Assignment

Two or more reviewers are invited based on their subject expertise. Reviewers typically respond within 5 days of invitation.

Review Phase

4. Review Phase

Reviewers evaluate methodology, clarity, originality, and ethical compliance. Reviews are due within 14–21 days.

Decision

5. Editorial Decision

The editor reviews comments and issues a decision: accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject. Authors are notified with reviewer feedback.

Revision

6. Author Revision

Authors revise and resubmit within the requested timeline. Revised versions may be re-reviewed, especially if major changes are made.

Acceptance & Publication

7. Final Decision & Publication

Once accepted, the manuscript moves to copyediting, typesetting, and online publication. Authors receive final proofs before publication.

Average Timeline

The complete peer review and decision cycle usually takes 6 to 8 weeks. We strive for rapid yet rigorous review while respecting the workload of academic reviewers.

Transparency and Appeals

Authors may appeal editorial decisions or request clarification. Appeals should be submitted to the editorial office and are reviewed independently.
