Self-Archiving Rights, Institutional Deposits, and Compliance with Open Access Mandates
Open Repository Policy
Annals of Advances in Chemistry (AAC) supports and encourages the archiving of scholarly content in institutional, subject-based, and national repositories to promote accessibility, preservation, and reuse. Authors are permitted to self-archive both preprint and postprint versions of their manuscripts without restriction.
Versions Permitted for Archiving
- Preprint: The version prior to peer review
- Postprint: The final accepted version after peer review
- Published Version: The final PDF as published by AAC (with citation and DOI)
All archived versions must include a citation to the original AAC publication and a link to the final version using the assigned DOI.
Licensing and Attribution
All content is published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) license. Repositories and third parties may freely distribute and adapt AAC content, provided appropriate credit is given to the original authors and source.
Repository Indexing Services
AAC is indexed in and compliant with major repository registries and services, including:
- SHERPA/RoMEO – Publisher policy registered for easy funder compliance
- DOAJ – Directory of Open Access Journals
- Institutional Repositories – Harvard DASH, arXiv, ResearchGate, and more
Funder Compliance
Authors funded by agencies such as NIH, Wellcome Trust, ERC, and others are encouraged to deposit their publications in appropriate repositories. AAC complies with Plan S, Horizon Europe, and OpenAIRE mandates for open access archiving.
